I use Unreal Engine 4 to achieve this Environment.
All of the assets was created to be modular. I choose to put it in a woody mood but i set up the materials to change it within a minute just by tweaking materials.
This is an environment i made for the allegorithmic's contest : "The Throne" hosted by Polycount forum.
Made in UE4 using PBR shading.
It's a melting pot of egyptian pharaonic period's architechture. I made it a litle bit scifi by adding some lights and a pyramidal flying throne.
Japan Lake Temple
This is an environment i made whith 3Ds max and UDK. It represent an old japanese style temple near from a lake.
I essencially used modular modeling and assemble everything inside UDK. That was a good exercise to improve my skills on a natural environment and on night lightings.

i took arab influence and transpose them into a futuristic scifi world. That was a good exercise to improve my skills on modular asset creation and "smart " texture technique.
